Il vino e' ottenuto dalle uve Aglianico, raccolte a completa maturazione, in genere nel mese di ottobre. Viene vinificato in rosso e lasciato a contatto delle bucce per un periodo medio lungo. Ha colore rubino più o meno intenso e profumo delicato con sentori di frutta rossa. Il sapore e' asciutto, armonico, vellutato. Si abbina bene a selvaggina in genere, carni rosse, formaggi a pasta dura mediamente stagionati. Servire alla temperatura di 16-18 °C.
